Preparation
  1. Gather all the ingredients and equipment.
  2. Wash, peel and core the apples. Place the apples in lemon water after they have been peeled.
  3. Combine the sugar, walnuts, raisins and cinnamon.
  4. Place the apples in a half hotel pan.
  5. Place the mixture in the center of the apples.
  6. Melt the butter and pour over the apples.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) until tender. Cover towards the end of the cooking time if the apples appear to dry.
  8. Place the granulated sugar, white wine and lemon juice in a pot; boil to a clear syrup.
  9. Place a baked apple on a preheated dessert plate and coat with the syrup. Serve hot.
