Preparation
  1. Gather all the ingredients and equipment.
  2. Scale ingredients.
  3. Peel, core and place the pears in cold water and lemon juice.
  4. In a hotel pan combine the sugar, wine, liqueur, lemon, orange and cinnamon stick.
  5. Add the pears to the liquid and cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in a 380°F (193°C) oven until the pears are tender, approximately 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Cool and store pears in the liquid.
